The Beauty of Birthday Cakes

Birthday, as what we all experience every year. When your birthday is coming up, there is always one important question to ask about it, and it is "How you want to celebrate it?". People celebrate birthdays differently. Some want it to be luxurious and elegant spending thousands or even millions of dollars. Some want it to be quiet spending it just by themselves. Some want it to be simple but happy like inviting close friends and love ones. There are so many ways in celebrating a birthday. It does not always mean luxury and expenses. Different people celebrate it in different ways but there is always one thing very common in celebrating it and it is a birthday cake. A birthday cake act as symbol of the occassion. It does not matter how young or old a person celebrating a birthday is. For me, birthday cakes are really important even though I am not a kid anymore. I always love to have a birthday cake on my special day every year. Since I was a kid, I always asked my parents to order a birthday cake for me and I required it to be chocolate flavored icing coated cake. And now I make or order birthday cakes for my kids on their special day since their first birthday. I really love birthday cakes specially the chocolate flavored ones!

Any cake can be a birthday cake. There are no specifications for a birthday cake. Any style, flavor, theme will do. Here are some different types or flavors of cakes that I know of which are the common ones:

Well, the most common birthday cake for kids is the egg white icing coated cake which only differs from its flavor. It is because kids love or appreciates more colorful cakes. There are lots of choices under Walt Disney Theme. These are Mickey and Minnie Mouse, Winnie the Pooh and Friends, Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs, Goofy and Pluto, Chip and Dale, The Lion King, Donald Duck, Uncle Scrooge, Alladin, Peter Pan, Pinocchio, Alice in Wonderland, Bambi, Dumbo, Cinderella, Sleeping Beauty, Robin Hood, Popeye, Beauty and the Beast, The Little Mermaid, The Three Musketeers and lastly Lilo and Stitch. How I wish to make these all sorts of cakes.. it would be lovely and fulfilling!
